ICE CLIMBING is the art of moving up on frozen waterfalls. It is a truly amazing experience that is guaranteed to leave you deep and fulfilling memories. Surprisingly, the sport is quite accessible and even people unfamiliar with climbing will realize that it is quite an enjoyable activity. The Canadian Rockies are quite exceptional in regard to the length of the ice climbing season which stretches from October to May. There are so many objectives that one cannot even come close to tick them all off in a lifetime. Whether you're curious about it and want to try it out or simply want to step up your game, we can facilitate pretty much any ascent.

This program allows you to customize your day, weekend or any amount of time into a full climbing immersion. Weather you have a specific multi-pitch in mind or want to refine your skills, we can make this happen. The Canadian Rockies are filled with long and moderate climb, bu also steep and challenging one.

EXPERIENCE DAY ICE CLIMBING

If you're passing by, visiting or curious about what rock climbing is all about, this is the program for you. Perfect for the family or individuals looking for a unique experience, you can book for a half or full day. The locations can vary, but are usually a step away from the parking lot. Some other options are open that are within 20 minutes walk.

ICE CLIMBING BASICS

 

This program has been recently designed to address the popularity of the sport. As much as ice climbing uses a lot of the tool that are designed for rock climbing, it is different in a lot of ways. The safety basics are fundamentally different. The level of commitment along with the variability of the element that are dealt with during winter ask for a complete different approach to risk. During this one day course, we're going to talk about the basics of ice climbing, the top-rope anchors, climbing techniques, equipment strength and limitations and much more.
